ASIN-RISA Branding Change

We're growing up! At the Spring 2012 Board Meeting, the CAUL-CBUA Directors agreed to a reorganization that included retiring the ASIN-RISA brand. Services and groups working under ASIN-RISA will be migrated to a revamped CAUL-CBUA brand.

Why are we decommissioning the ASIN Brand?

There are a couple of reasons why we thought this was a good idea:

  • ASIN-RISA services have matured: The ASIN-RISA brand was developed to promote scholarly sharing within CAUL-CBUA. Several services were developed to further this vision – some have matured, like Document Delivery, while others have migrated from an ASIN service to individual libraries. It’s important to note that the core values ASIN-RISA was founded on will continue to live on in CAUL-CBUA.

Collaborative Research & Innovation Grant Winners

The Council of Atlantic University Libraries/Conseil des bibliothèques universitaires de l'Atlantique (CAUL-CBUA) is pleased to award its inaugural Collaborative Research & Innovation Grant.

The CAUL-CBUA Collaborative Research & Innovation Grant is intended to encourage collaborative research across the academic libraries in the region, proposing solutions to practical questions as well as projects which involve structured evidence-based research. Identification of projects of regional interest, which can prove useful in developing research partnerships between practitioners, educators and students is also encouraged.

We would like to congratulate our grant winners, Laura Syms of Cape Breton University and Kathleen Gadd, University of New Brunswick (Saint John).
