The Politics Collection provides access to renowned databases such as the PAIS Index and Worldwide Political Science Abstracts, covering the international literature in political science and public administration/policy, along with related fields. Together, they provide abstracts, indexing, and full-text coverage of journal articles, country reports, dissertations, think tank reports, working papers, government documents, and more, including full text from many leading political science and international relations journals.

The collection includes:

  • Worldwide Political Science Abstracts: citations, abstracts, and indexing of the international serials literature in political science and its complementary fields.
  • Political Science Database: full-text journals, dissertations, and other content covering political science, international relations, public policy, and related fields.
  • PAIS Index: public policy resource offering coverage of a wide range of international sources. PAIS is originally an acronym for Public Affairs Information Service.
  • Policy File Index: indexes and links to the reports published by think tanks and other organizations researching public policy issues.

The International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS) is an online resource for social science and interdisciplinary research. IBSS includes over two million bibliographic references to journal articles and to books, reviews and selected chapters dating back to 1951. It is unique in its broad coverage of international material and incorporates over 100 languages and countries. Over 2,800 journals are regularly indexed and some 7,000 books are included each year. Abstracts are provided for half of all current journal articles and full text availability is continually increasing.
